Interview Details filled out an application in december, had a first round phone interview in februrary, if you get past the phone interview round you will move onto a day called "super saturday" where you have in person interviews and have to take a test

Insights Director Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)

Interview Details Every one I have talked with is much above average of other firms and really nice. Further Ogilvy does do some great advertising work. At the end of the day I think it's probably the best large firm to work at given the variety of projects they do. None the less I've interviewed with Ogilvy twice for different roles. In both cases the process was pretty disorganized, dragged out, mitigated & sources out between multiple people. There isn't any methodology, which makes me question how they approach business processes or work. One case in particular totally missed the boat on where they should be headed from a strategy standpoint. And the reason for the non hire was extremely petty. In most scenarios I get the feeling when I talk with them, I'm not talking with "professionals professionals". The staff generally relies on the brand name over original thought processes in my view. But then again which large firm really is in the comms industry..
Interview Question – Not so much the questions, it's getting the sense where the person interviewing you is coming from. And what they know. As they can be a bit flighty, it's hard to figure out - especially in my field. Answer Question
Very Easy Interview
Account Planner Interview (Positive Experience; Very Easy Interview)
I applied through a recruiter and the process took a day - interviewed at Ogilvy & Mather in April 2010.
Interview Details Quick and straight forward. Met with account lead and we had a nice chat. I think the position had already been filled but loved having the conversation all the same.
Art Director Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through a recruiter - interviewed at Ogilvy & Mather in May 2014.
Interview Details Really chill and relaxed. Not what I was expecting. Met with a ACD and CD. Nice view of the city from the interior. Both of which had tattoos on their arms and were not afraid to show this. Just be yourself and professional. They are looking for character and the right look in a book thats all.

Summer Intern Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Ogilvy & Mather in February 2014.
Interview Details Filled out application and writing 2 sample essays from given prompts - if you could have a dinner party with 3 people (one from the past, one from the present, one from the future) who would they be and why and why do you want to be in PR. Then HR contacted me via email to tell me I would be interviewed over the phone. Two people interviewed separately me for about 30 minutes each. Then I was contacted via email by HR with the decision.
Account Management Intern Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 4 months - interviewed at Ogilvy & Mather in April 2014.
Interview Details The process was extremely long and draining. There was a first round interview that was brief, and then a series of 3 interviews with people from the specific group that you're interested in.

Account Management Interview (Neutral Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied through another source and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Ogilvy & Mather in January 2014.
Interview Details Initial contact was made by the HR team via LinkedIn. The first step was a fast phone interview to inform about positions and confirm experience. A separate person will schedule the in-person interview--mine was rather presumptuous with my time, not informing me how much time to set aside and trying to book an additional round of interviews with an additional team without my knowledge.
I was there for 3+ hours and met with five members of the team. All of them were incredibly nice, looking for detailed information about experience and strategic points of view. I was offered to come back to meet with more people, but declined because I didn't feel the chemistry with the team.
Interview Question – I think that Ogilvy asks team members to throw a "curveball" question at the end of each interview. Each person that had time to ask me a last question asked a rather unexpected question. The two I remember are "What is one impression I have of you that is not true" and "Name a song that would be on the soundtrack of your life." Answer Question
Summer Intern Interview (Positive Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Ogilvy & Mather in April 2014.
Interview Details First round interviews where done on phone. Basic information was exchanged like "tell me about yourself?" The next round is more serious where three people talk to you in increments of 20 minutes on the phone. Be specific with your information.

Account Coordinator Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Ogilvy & Mather in March 2014.
Interview Details Submitted my interview on the website, a few weeks later they contacted me for an interview. I was recommended by an employee so I got to skip some of the previous hiring steps.

I applied in-person and the process took a day - interviewed at Ogilvy & Mather in October 2013.
Interview Details When questions were asked, the interviewers did not have an answer. Seemed pretty disorganized and made me question their culture.
