Scottsdale, AZ (US)

Former Employee – worked at AXA Advisors full-time for less than a year

ProsThe company invests more in its advisors than any other company

ConsYou have to be a driven person to succeed in this business. First few years the pay is minimal compared to the work but in the latter years the pay exceeds most other jobs.

Advice to Senior ManagementFor new advisors, invest more material into educating them in what exactly they need to do to succeed instead of loading them with excessive product knowledge at first.

Irvine, CA (US)

Former Employee – worked at AXA Advisors full-time for less than a year

Pros216,000 Employees
101 Million Clients
1.5 Trillion in AUM
Very Stable
Open Architecture
In Business 153 Years
Great Training, except from my manager (he has only been with AXA for about a year)
Great Comp if you are willing to work hard
9th Largest Co in the world
Beautiful offices
401K plus every benefit you can think off

ConsDon't work for a new manager! Even though AXA is great, my manager was worthless. Other managers are great .... my bad luck.... I got hired by the new worthless manager. If you interview with them ask: How long have you been with AXA... if less than 5 years... politely ask if you could talk to another manager.

Advice to Senior ManagementTell your new managers to be honest with new candidates. If I had been hired by another manager, I would still work for them.

Former Employee – worked at AXA Advisors full-time for more than 3 years

ProsLots of Benefits, Lots of Upside if are good at sales and want tobe a financial planner. Great Health, Dental, 401k, commission structure, stock options, pension & indpendence. People earn anywhere from $25,000 to $500,000 plus.

ConsCompany owns your client base. Company claims as being an independent but pushes you to sell proprietary products via commission structure. Not very team oriented environment.

Advice to Senior ManagementShould give District Managers more incentive to keep reps for long term vs. inheriting their book/client base when leave.
