Current Employee – been working at Autonomy
Pros – Easy work life.. (old iron mountain type) , no work pressure, like a government job. Nice building, good surroundings. Friday lunches, coffee.!
Cons – Iron mountain India is now called Autonomy India (merger), I am an IRM employee who came over to Autonomy.
When you want to leave Autonomy to go to a different company, be prepared to lose heavily. Remember the IC/RC bonus you were supposed to get? You will not get it any more: if you are in your 2 months notice period. And your bonus for Jan-Dec will be paid next mar/april. So if you want to leave before June 1st, forget the last year's bonus. The 2 months notice period is not something mentioned in the handbook of the company: where it is at will. It is just a HR thing!
Goodbye suckers, and thanks for all the fish. I am out of here in a week!
Advice to Senior Management – Please fix HR and finance policies. Make work interesting. Reward top performers more often. reduce red tape and other overhead. Faster releases. Take peer and manager reviews more often.

Former Employee – worked at Autonomy full-time for more than a year

Cons – Pre HP acquisition: Lack of structured training, Dodgy sales commision scheme (paid late and alwayas trying to avoid it). Management of HQ absolutley tyrannical, unable to motivate employees other than with shouting and menacing
Advice to Senior Management – Retire

Current Employee – been working at Autonomy full-time for less than a year
Pros – Great co-workers, interesting product, great clients -- OK company with an average reputation and now part of a legacy company with reputation in question
Cons – Autonomy may or not find its way as part of HP -- the parent company is so large and at such a questionable place on its own timeline -- it's hard to see where or in what form Autonomy will be a factor in its life and work
Advice to Senior Management – Connect with workers with bonuses and in-person conferencing to build loyalty, otherwise attrition will continue and the ideas that could enhance its relevance will go with exiting workers

Current Employee – been working at Autonomy full-time for less than a year
Pros – Flexible working environment with the ability to focus on historical and new accounts
Cons – no real sales strategy - treat every deal as tactical. Management can come across as desperate to close any size of deal
Advice to Senior Management – start to take a more holistic approach to selling into major accounts and they will take you serious
