I worked at Brinker part-time for less than a year
Pros – Managers are some of the best in the industry. In confluence with the sincere, caring work environment, it is second to none. Excellent employee training.
Cons – Hard to get full time as a server. However 30 hours is considered full time in the food industry by many, so that may be why.
Advice to Senior Management – Delineate side work so that staff is not responsible for designating duties. This would help to ensure equity in designation of side work.

I have been working at Brinker full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Casual dress - flip flops, shorts, tank tops are normal
Food/beverage connection - 100% discount at chili's, 50% at Maggiano's; there's always food around; company events often include margaritas, beer, etc.
Work/life - flexible hours; often see kids or dogs in office; on-campus gym
Relationship-oriented - collaboration culture; building relationships is crucial to success; CEO Doug Brooks sets great example, knows literally every employees' name
Cons – Public company - mood of company is tied to performance; more pressure if sales are down
Food connection - "The Brinker 20" is real
Large company - culture sometimes feels small, but usually hierarchical and slow in making decisions because have to check off and include everybody
Inconsistent leadership examples - Maggiano's president has great personality and very personable, Chili's president is dry, not approachable, intimidating
Advice to Senior Management – Keep culture and fun going even if sales are down
Find ways to get decisions made more quickly

I have been working at Brinker
Pros – Brinker has a very casual work environment, which makes it fun to work at. Employees are, by and large, nice and hard working people. Multiple office events through out the year where are you are encouraged to get out and have fun with (alcohol included) which is rare nowadays.
Cons – The company direction is in question. We used to own a wide portfolio of restaurant chains and now we're down to just two.
Advice to Senior Management – We need less restaurant folks and more business oriented people at the top of the totem poles.
