A wonderful company destroyed by a Board that is asleep

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThe products truly help people. Some staff nice.

ConsAll decisions are made by the CEO. Managers are not provided with the proper information to complete their jobs. They CANNOT seem to successfully develop new products. What should be fast releases take years and are filled with bugs. And the culture (starting from the top) is horrendous. There is a climate of fear and mistrust.

Advice to Senior ManagementBoard of Directors: step up to your responsibilities. The company has lost almost all value yet you seem to do NOTHING. You and the CEO have destroyed a wonderful company. (Just check the stock price!)

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Doesn't care about its employees or customers

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Pittsburgh, PA (US)

ProsIt used to be a great company to work for - wonderful products that met a need, smart people, forward looking product plan. Now management is only concerned about the bottom line.

ConsSince the company went public, it's gone downhill very rapidly. Salaries are not competitive; there seems to be absolutely no interest in keeping their employees or customers. and morale is terrible.

Advice to Senior ManagementStart making an effort to develop new products, but support your customers and make an effort to appease your disgruntled employeesl

    Great Product, Poor Management

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Pittsburgh, PA (US)

ProsKnowing that disabled children (especially) are (often) being given their first opportunity to communicate clearly with their parents. Very rewarding.

ConsStark lack of leadership at all levels. Distinct lack of vision, products are being undercut steeply by competition that just a few years ago didn't seem to exist. Employee morale not even taken into consideration. Interdepartmental communication is functionally nonexistent.

Advice to Senior ManagementTALK to your employees. MORALE really does mean something in the workplace. It's HUGE, actually, but start with baby steps...

    Over Promise, Under Deliver

    Sales Representative (Former Employee)

ProsStrong financial backing ensures competitive product development and strong presence in the market.

Company continues to make strides in a difficult industry.

ConsThere is a huge disconnect with what is happening in the field and senior management. There just isn't enough inside knowledge at the top. There is a lot of talent but senior management is suffering from insufficient experience in a very specialized industry.

Advice to Senior ManagementSenior management should really spend more time in the field and understand the culture of their customers instead of focusing so much on the business of business.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
