Goal Oriented but not Micro-Managed

Cons – Its clothes retail....there will be slow times when you'll be doing "busy work" such as refolding clothes and "teacupping" shirts.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep it up!!!

I worked at Express LLC part-time for more than a year

Pros – The discount was great, And the clientele was usually fun. I recieved 2 raises in a little more than a year. Also the location was beautiful and they provifef plenty of training.

Cons – The hours were my biggest complaint. However management was very accommodating to my full time job. But at the same time I only wanted to work 20 hours a week but wound up working between 25-40 hours in addition to the 40 hours I was already working.

Advice to Senior Management – Offer more incentive to those that sell the creidt card.

Pros – Team focused, results driven, friendly, good advancement opportunity, nice that you can relocate if position is available

Cons – Long hours, never a set schedule every week is different.

Cons – Very results driven so if you don't like pressure you won't enjoy working here!
Some positions the pay is a little low (sales lead)

Pros – Best thing about working at Express part-time is that they can't schedule you outside of your availability, no matter how limited. Oh, except for Black Friday. There's not a chance you'll ever get it off. Even if you request to do so a year in advance, or it's your birthday. Makes no difference. I quit my job because I couldn't get that weekend off and there was something else more important taking place that weekend than minimum-wage my job.

Cons – Management can be a pain in the side, and believe me, they have A LOT to do with your overall satisfaction with the job because they are responsible for managing just about your every move.

Pros – The people, from WHC to field leadership, are fantastic. There are so many talented people that are so inspiring. Michael Weiss and Jean St. Pierre make a great team and push their people to achieve excellence. When you do this, you will be recognized and rewarded in various ways. This is a company that is focused on career pathing and promoting people internally.

Cons – Be prepared to work long hours if necessary.

Pros – Leadership, teamwork, customer service, communication, and adaptability are all things I learned while working for this company. After 13 years and 5 promotions it was time for me to move on. This is a great company to work for and I would do it all over again, it is sad to read comments that say that they don't promote from within or they do not have a work life balance. If you are a person who can't take direction and are not flexible then this is not the job for you. There were many opportunities to grow with Express and if you don't take the initiative to drive the business then no wonder you think they do not promote from within. Thank You Express for giving me the tools to run a business.

Cons – Stressful for a retail postion. A lot of pressure to make sales.
