Only good for managers and above!

    Software Engineer (Current Employee) Bangalore

    Pros1. Work life balance.
    2. free lunch
    3. casual wear

Apart from 1 , any product company will provide 2 and 3 and will have a better pay.

Cons1. Compared to other PRODUCT companies, pay is very very less for people with skill and experience .
    2. The HR are full of LIES when hiring. NEVER EVER BELIEVE THEM!
    3. The salary structure is not well defined when they hire you. ASK for the split up. Insist on it.
    4. Have to beg 1000 times for a proper hike.
    5. Their bonus is not always 100 percent as told during hiring.
    6. Have to go through politics when getting your idea approved (even if you are in an R & D)
    7. No work from home policy standardized in the company. Have to BEG managers!

Advice to Senior Management1. Be honest.
    2. Pay well if you have to retain talent.
    3. Create policies like other product companies if you want to reach the 1 billion mark.

good company to learn, to grow will take time though

    Product Specialist (Current Employee) Bangalore

ProsThis company gives decent salary when compared to counterparts in the industry. tries to keep the employees happy by taking them on an international tour once in an year. Newer lays off during recession.

ConsIt takes a lot of time for promotions. Your views are not completely considered unless you are one among the top gunners.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to catch up with competition in the industry. before competitors come up with a new technology try to have it implemented in Informatica

Quite good but can be way better

Software Engineer (Current Employee) Redwood City, CA (US)

ProsGood work life balance, helpful colleagues and work culture

Consless use of new upcoming technology or open source, less focus on R&D, much of maintenance work

Advice to Senior Managementshould have more perks, should consider giving training to new employees since its difficult to imagine different use-cases, the product tackles, especially in case of enterprise product

    Good Culture

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Redwood City, CA (US)

    ProsGood team culture
    Emphasis on training
Good team and a productive environment
Nice work space and loaded laptops.
    Pool and ping pong tables.

ConsSince is located all the way in Redwood City at the Pacific Shores center, the commute is kind of taxing. Since people who are new to the Bay Area prefer to stay further down south in Sunnyvale or Santa Clara, commuting to work is really bad.
Compensation is mediocre and not top notch

    Good company

Account Executive (Current Employee) San Francisco, CA (US)

ProsCulture, compensation, benefits were all very good. They treat their sales people like gold and want them to make money. Tons of resources to help you succeed and will do what it takes to get a deal done.

ConsVery tech driven with lack of go to market strategy. Too many processes for sales management that half the time mgmt didn't utilize in Salesforce. Some managers didn't have a clue how to manage a team and more spreadsheet focused.

Advice to Senior ManagementCreate a team and not just another row in your spreadsheet. Connect with individuals at a personal level.

Hard working people but chaotic at times

    Marketing Manager (Former Employee)

ProsThere are quite a few smart and talented people. The work/home life balance depends on the group you work with however most people are ok if you work from home. I enjoyed the wonderful people I worked with and their dedication to the people and their job.

ConsUpper management tends to not look at the data nor the issues that were presented. Additionally, abusive behavior was tolerated by managers without looking into the situation and protecting people.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your people when there is a pattern of bad behavior. Learn to promote within but not by tenure. Start to hire your brightest and hardest working stars that do great things for the company.
