Former Employee – worked at MTV Networks as an intern
Pros – As a designer, fun projects.
Cons – No sense of company culture ro community, and no appreciation for its employees. You are a cog in the machine, alongside thousands of employees working to add "MTV" to their resume. Little appreciation ro recognition; you are a nobody. It is inexcusable for internships to be unpaid, at such a massive company.

Current Employee – been working at MTV Networks as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Fun, hip and modern work place with a young demographic. Dress is casual and people seem interested in meeting others. Easy to be hired as an intern.
Cons – Little mobility within the company and limited benefits turn me off from this company. The atmosphere, while fun, can seem a bit unprofessional at times.

Former Employee – worked at MTV Networks as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Fun, young, energetic staff with a lot of good ideas. They don't take themselves too seriously, but do take their work very seriously. The work I did was not very "intern-y", and I was given responsibilities and trust in my capabilities.
Cons – Easy to blend in because the company is so large, and you will be forgotten if you do not network and make sure people remember you.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to make interns feel valued and a useful part of the team.

Pros – Work environment is fun and, while high pressure, very laid back.
Cons – As an intern was not given many opportunities to gain a lot of hands on experience. Did a lot of office work.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't forget that the interns are there to learn.
