Current Employee – been working at Qualcomm as an intern for less than a year
Pros – great environment and limited heirarchy, you get to work on best projects within the company, project teams are flexible and can be changed if one feels so.
Cons – the center in san-diego is perhaps better than those in india. The opportunity to go abroad is open after two years of service.

Current Employee – been working at Qualcomm as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Qualcomm provides perhaps the best benefits in the industry. Everything is paid for ( accommodation, food, transport) and you get a competitive stipend of Rs. 20,000. Each intern is assigned one mentor and one manager so you get a lot of attention. There are team outings, quizzes and the workplace itself is full of energy. Innovative thinking is encouraged and the work load is well balanced. Also it has a really high conversion ratio from intern to full time employee. employee
Cons – the sex ratio is disapointingly screwed .. out of 39 interns in bangalore in summer 2012 , only 2 were girls. But then the number of girls doing engineering is really less.

Current Employee – been working at Qualcomm
Pros – Its an Informal Company. You get lots of Freedom to work, play , do anything.
No questions asked if you do your job right and when I say right I don't mean working your ass off :)
Cons – There is not much innovative work going down here.Usually those are done by the main team and the remaining "deterministic" work is given to the starters.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Former Employee – worked at Qualcomm as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Qualcomm is an extremely successful company that truly cares about it's employees and interns. The internship program is so strong that I immediately felt apart of the team and involved in each step of the way through the various projects I assisted them with. The people are friendly, smart, driven and fun.
Cons – The only reason I would not recommend Qualcomm to somebody is if they were not passionate about wireless technology and the big advances occurring in the industry, or if they weren't keen on the big corporate feel.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Qualcomm as an intern for less than a year
Pros – 1. Great Intern treatment.
2. Responsibility to do something the team depends on and not just some random testing stuff.
3. San Diego..!! :p
Cons – 1. The pay during the internship was adequate but the full time offer was below par.
Advice to Senior Management – You guys are doing great with the entire experience. The only thing lacking is the compensation (which could be improved to par on other similar companies like nVidia)
