Interim Engineering Intern (Current Employee) Hyderābād

ProsWork culture, team work and lack of bossism. The best is tried to keep you entertained and maximum efforts put in comforting the employee

ConsGender ratio is highly skewed. San Diego office seems to be dominating the spree in most departments.

A very good company to intern especially for electrical/electronic engineer

Interim Engeeniring Intern (Former Employee) Hyderābād

ProsNice facilities like accomodation, food, transportation available. People are quite friendly. Most of the managers are nice and easy to work with. Flexible work schedule, regular team outings for interns.

ConsProject allocation should be done in consent with the employee. Some of the managers are too busy and soe have quite high expectations. There is quite a space crunch in office.

Advice to Senior ManagementMangement is quite good as far as my treatment was concerned.

    Internship Experience At Qualcomm Bangalore

    Intern (Former Employee) Bangalore

    Pros1.The work environment.
    2. Flexible work hours
    3. Lots of perks as an intern (Regular Outings)
    4. Work on real time projects

ConsThe experience, specially of an intern may depend on the mentor and how busy he is. Although my mentor was pretty busy himself, I made it a point to keep in touch regularly and ensure that I was being given decent work to do as an intern. But again, that may not work with everyone.

    Good Experience

    Summer Intern (Former Employee) Hyderābād

ProsAwesome perks, accommodation provided, weekends trips, good culture

ConsInterns should be asked for preference when assigning them teams or projects.

Advice to Senior ManagementIntern should not be put on teams with busy managers who are unable to guide them

    Satisfying experience

Interim Engineering Intern (Current Employee) Hyderābād

Prosgreat environment and limited heirarchy, you get to work on best projects within the company, project teams are flexible and can be changed if one feels so.

Consthe center in san-diego is perhaps better than those in india. The opportunity to go abroad is open after two years of service.

    A Quality summers at Qualcomm

Interim Engineering Intern (Current Employee) Bangalore

ProsQualcomm provides perhaps the best benefits in the industry. Everything is paid for ( accommodation, food, transport) and you get a competitive stipend of Rs. 20,000. Each intern is assigned one mentor and one manager so you get a lot of attention. There are team outings, quizzes and the workplace itself is full of energy. Innovative thinking is encouraged and the work load is well balanced. Also it has a really high conversion ratio from intern to full time employee. employee

Consthe sex ratio is disapointingly screwed .. out of 39 interns in bangalore in summer 2012 , only 2 were girls. But then the number of girls doing engineering is really less.

    Great Company to work...

    Intern (Current Employee) Hyderābād

ProsIts an Informal Company. You get lots of Freedom to work, play , do anything.
No questions asked if you do your job right and when I say right I don't mean working your ass off :)

ConsThere is not much innovative work going down here.Usually those are done by the main team and the remaining "deterministic" work is given to the starters.

Great company to work for as an intern

Software Engineer Intern (Current Employee) San Diego, CA (US)

    Pros- Good hourly pay
    - Complete coverage for housing and relocation expenses
    - Plenty of intern events and involvement

Cons- Work experience is highly dependent on manager and team. It's possible to get stuck doing boring work all summer since it's not normally possible to transfer to a different team as an intern.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave set goals, deliverables, and dates for interns and temps before they come onboand.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
