    Pros

Friendly staff, flexible hours, technically challenging work and a fair amount of free activities (music/sports) during lunch hours. Great opportunities to get patents and learn with the internal voluntary employee presentation scheme.

    Cons

Poor middle management and work life balance - Management are over-subscribing work and the pressure piles on the lower roles. My team were working 12 hour shifts at times, and commonly arrive at 8am and still have an hour conference call to take at 6pm.

Internal politics are also a joke. Expect to rvsp managers into email to get a reply.

    Advice to Management

Learn to say No to work.

    2) Very smart coworkers
    3) Great locations (e.g., Silicon Valley and San Diego)
    4) Pretty decent salary
    5) They have an excellent intern program

    Cons

    1) In many groups, group meetings are not open to interns
    2) Long hours, specially for project deadlines
    3) Not as many perks as you would get in companies such as Google

    Advice to Management

Let interns learn more about other projects within the company

    Pros

Great housing provided. Competitive compensation. Various intern events and guest lectures organized to enhance the overall experience. I would recommend the experience to anyone willing to get an exposure to some of the recent cool technologies.

    Cons

Did not learn a lot as such on the technical side. Was given a step-by-step task which had to be implemented. The project was completely thought about by the upper management of the team and the specifications provided were sometimes vague, which made the implementation process very iterative and mostly boring.

    Pros

Good People. Good work. Good housing. Great location. Great Work life balance. If you are ambitious and hard working, Qualcomm is really good company to start your career and move forward.

    Cons

Sometimes the work gets hectic. Salary although high and Qualcomm is among best paying companies, it still not as high as compared to other giants like Google or Microsoft.

    Pros

Although the experience might be team dependent, my team was fantastic, project was great, manager was super chill (got to go golfing with him), and the support for interns is fantastic! We had SO many intern events and were definitely well taken care of.

    Cons

Not San Diego, CA so we sometimes didn't get to work on all the cutting edge stuff.
