    Pros

Work from home, work in PJs, no gas cost

    Cons

Micromanaged. No employee recognition. Being held accountable for bad surveys after following company policies. Switched around 4 times in 4 months to different supervisors. They say your billing but your technical support. Does not pay you enough for the job you do. You must commit to your schedule for 1 year and no way to move to another shift but they offer overtime each week for that shift

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees more and answer your emails when someone needs help understanding their job

    Pros

No where else to work in Milton Freewater Or. Pays higher than minimum wage (barely). You get to sit down while you work.

    Cons

Management will breath down your neck. You will be micromanaged by no fewer than about 12 bosses simultaneously. Basically, it's office space.

    Advice to Management

Put cubical walls back up. Hire people who can actually lead. No need for 3 Q.A. calls per day. Let people bring books into the building.

    Pros

full time permanent , friendly co workers and a job that is easy to get

    Cons

Pay is 19 per hour and penalties do apply but getting paid correctly is a problem. Management are unprofessional, uneducated and offload problems to one another. The problem is most are young apart from one older lady who dressed like a 20 year old to fit in. Dress code is smart office attired Mon to Thurs and Fri Sat Sun casual. I often see thong like sandals during the week or jeans and runners. Basically there are dress standard but they are not adhered to by general staff or management. Swearing constantly which turns me off. I find this offensive and degrading.
Very strict with break times. You must arrive early to logon to the phone and computer system.
Dealing with customers within a call centre can be draining as unfortunately some can become quite aggressive... you need to switch off and just do your job
This is a permanent job however you really must check every payslip and unfortunately it is the employees job to chase up money owed and HR do not like to take responsibility for errors.
Rostered hours are all over the place as it is a 24/7 call centre. Parking can be an issue but public transport is quite good.
I would only recommend this job to fill in time while waiting for the job you want.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach. If you want to be respected as an individual you need to respect employees. Very high turnover is due to management.

    Pros

Easy hiring process, always catering for associates, made a pay incentive for weekends and second shift

    Cons

Company doesnt care about indivduals, no choice on schedule, long training that doesnt teach you nearly enough to do the job correctly,

    Advice to Management

    Pay close attention to associates.

    Pros

If you are a male, you will love the easy women that work there (sarcasm).

    Cons

People frequently drink on the night shift when the AM's leave, Upper and lower management having sexual relationships with the workers, extreme favoritism shown, people selling and smoking marijuana on premises, training classes not being done properly, rampant cheating to gain stats, agents don't want to do their job because of low pay and extreme discipline shown on frivolous things. Constantly targeting people that they dont like to get them fired or forcing them to resign so that they don't have to pay their unemployment Do I need to say more?

    Advice to Management

You need to take a serious look at the people that you have in higher positions. The majority of the problems is due to people not qualified being in positions and taking advantage of people that need the job. Most unprofessional company that I have ever seen in 20+years of working.

    Pros

The hours would be the only good thing about this job. Some of the co-workers are ok enough to make it seem ok. My trainer was pretty good too.

    Cons

I was a rehire at this pathetic company. My first time, I worked for about 2 years. Then I was the victim of attendance favoritism. They work with some people. There are other people they work with. The criteria is favoritism. They had enough to give bonuses to upper management but not enough to give raises. If you got an 8 on a survey instead of a 9 or 10, you were pulled off the phone and chewed out.

The second time I worked there, I thought that I would like it better. There was a new client being serviced at this site and it seemed better. Then I hit the floor and found that it was much worse. Favoritism was still a problem. People who have no college degree are in upper management while those who do have college degrees are stuck being slaves.

The only way you can move up within the company is if you are sleeping with somebody or if you are homosexual.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of your bad attitudes. Listen to the employees. Be more careful of who you choose for a promotion. Also, learn to be reasonable.

  9. Was the worst company I have worked for. I was mislead what the job was when I started.

    Pros

The only thing good is the "work from home" aspect other than that it's just another dead end job.I started working for Sykes to get my feet wet in a new place.I had moved to a new state and had a fresh start this job literally fell on my lap....If you are a college student or just looking for extra income then this job is for you but this is not a job to pay rent, bills, car notes and and all monthly expenses unless you have a husband or wife to help out..

    Cons

They need to pay at least $11-$12 for their customer service reps....you never get anything over 75 hours on your check I believe they should give you the option of working overtime if you want to..... it's your time and your money if you can work the hours what's wrong with working them....

    Advice to Management

You guys really need to look into giving your customer service representative a raise or a discount on the program they are working for you guys do not offer anything but $9.50 and a bunch of angry people you don't pay us enough for the stuff we have to deal with and then you need to be in your program a year WHY? a year before you start seeing extra money what if you do a good job in 120 days (because your just that good)

    Pros

Work from Home. Team mates are great.

    Cons

Always on edge about keeping your job. Transfers to different Vendors and losing hours.

    Advice to Management

When an employee that's been with you for a long time and never misses work help them out when they ask for less hours and an earlier schedule.
Metrics are not perfect and I wouldn't use them as a guide for a long time employee especially when the survey is sent out with the wrong name on it. Try going a month without pay until you start a different vendor.
