    Pros

Full Time employment. A pay check.

    Cons

The job is simple but the environment is toxic for most sane persons. The company not picks very call. You are constantly monitored... On the phone and just speaking at your desk. They treat their people as if they own them inside work ad out. ( I.e. calling you after you've called in sick to ask if you are coming in.) The job recruiter will promise great hours and then they call and inform you of your real schedule. It's an extremely political job. The brown nosers rise to the top... Regardless of skill level or scruples.

    Pros

Working from home, nice co-workers and leaders all working from home as well

    Cons

Very little training, help is minimal, you are just thrown on to the phones very unprepared, customers can be very abusive so you definately need to be very thick skinned, huge focus on sales and metrics I found the job very stressful most people dont seem to stay after a week on the phones many quit the first day. When you choose your shift availability you are told you have to commit to the shift for one year, after 2 months my shift was changed and the shift options are nothing like what you pick when you are first hired

    Advice to Management

Pay your people better than min wage, job has so much to try to juggle and the abuse you take from all sides is just not worth it for min pay

    Pros

    Incentives, some managers, some people

    Cons

Transitioning from strictly customer service to sales and having your job depend on a quota and they tell you all you have to do is offer but meet a sales goal.

    Advice to Management

Go back to customer service and people would not quit

    Pros

    Great people and decent compensation

    Cons

Management refuses to address situations such as low surveys due to a push for lower AHT. So instead of finding a way to meet in the middle they punish their agents for what was their fault to begin with. Threatening employees with Corrective Actions does not produce good results.

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking as a whole and address each situation with it's own solution stop leading by fear. It is a costly thing to train new agents and you make a habit out of high turnovers. Focus on employee Retention instead!

    Pros

Perfect place for just graduated people, colleagues

    Cons

Huge management issues - paycheck and benefits - "low cost" company, exacerbated in Romania

    Advice to Management

Pay some attention to your employees satisfaction surveys results regarding their managers and try to breakdown the established feudal system in Cluj's offices which concentrates all the power in a really limited number of individuals

    Cons

Low pay, very poor health benefits

    Advice to Management

    Pros

-Easy to get a work at Sykes, harder to keep.
-Easy outward atmosphere. Can fool people.
    -Good teammates
-Bonus system is there at least, but took a year before it was started up.
-Supervisors at least try to keep up the morale

    Cons

    -Low pay, really low pay.
-Only favorites and favoritism will get you promoted. Without a friend in upper management you will stay agent.
-Lack of personal development opportunities. Won't support you in developing at all.
-Training is lacking, won't help when on the floor.
-On the outwards a good atmosphere, but the more you work here the more you feel the oppressive Sykes basically telling you that you are worthless. Management does a lot to help with that.
-Taking phones are mentally taxing, yet no support for depression, stress or other factors.
-Large turnaround on hires. Always people getting fired, getting hired, quitting and getting sick. Original team that I was on and started up almost 2 years ago, only two people left on that team. The rest have moved on.
-Does nothing to help in making the job less boring, maybe this part is just me.
-No choice for working at home, even though the job could easily be done at home.
-No critical help in reaching targets, no help in getting more training. Only nagging.

    Advice to Management

Just change the cons and you should be able to get this place running.
