I worked at Starwood Vacation full-time

ProsMy co-workers were great! The company's hotel discounts are beneficial.

ConsThe company is way behind on technology. The executives are micromanagers and do not provide work life balance. Health Benefits are horrible! There is no room for growth.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpgrade the company's technology. Management needs to implement good policies and procedures and then allow their employees to do their jobs.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Can't beat the room discounts.

ProsAs soon as you can, book your dream vacation. The hot rates are great! Don't plan on ever getting your reserve back if you are in sales, but I guess that's true for anywhere.

ConsManagement, commision structure, tours, bonus levels. Very much a love line situation. Just hard to make money there I guess.

Advice to Senior ManagementAre you really making everybody still come in at 6:45? Please spend some money on marketing and have some sort of income qualifier comparable to the product you are selling. Sure we can sell it to them, but getting them to make their "timely payments" in another story.

It's a numbers game, the more people you call the better chance of making the cha-ching

ProsEasy work. Good hours. Great co-workers. Alot of giveaways. Free pizza now and then. It can be fast paced and exciting.

ConsThe cha-ching you make is mostly from the commissions not the base level pay. Very little if any room for advancement. When its slow it can get boring. High pressure sales position.

Advice to Senior ManagementShow us pictures of the place we are trying to sell. Let us talk to the people that work at the resort to get a feeling for what it is like to be there.
