I worked at Telefónica full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The company really focuses on taking care of its employees. The pay is good and so are the benefits. To me, it's definitely one of the best companies to work for in Venezuela. Plus, the working environment is just great. One thing in particular that I like a lot abouta Telefonica Venezuela is that there are many opportunities to move and to grow.

    Cons

It could be a little more organized. There is usually a lot of work, so you have to be prepared to stay afeter hours sometimes.

    I worked at Telefónica

    Pros

Plenty of earning opportunity and was able to progress to assistant branch manager within eighteen months. Very supportive team too.

    Cons

Faceless organisation where if you work in the extremities then you don't get a look-in from senior management. Before I left they started to squeeze rewards structure and their mystery shopping should never have been the decider on whether a bonus is paid or not. It put too much pressure on staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review staff rewards and client feedback models.

I worked at Telefónica as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

The firm offer very good opportunities to learn with freedom within boundaries. Employees enjoy good social environment and are with lots of energy and passion for work.

    Cons

The hardest thing for every firm is not only to set up the right corporate mission and vision, but to align those to the people, and furthermore, to make all employees to start believing in their firm’s value and mission. This is not so well elaborated internally, therefore external picture is respectively adequate to the internal one.
