I worked at Workday as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Great company culture, they treat employees really great and the employees are all super nice.

    Cons

    Pleasanton is a boring town.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put the interns to dorm in SF or the bay area.

I worked at Workday as an intern

    Pros

The culture is amazing. Everyone really loves being here, loves each other, or (usually) both. Lots of company sponsored activities which make every week exciting. Management cares about you. You become inspired to work harder. Good pay, free housing (for interns and some positions).

    Cons

Not many training courses offered for those that like learning from courses. Lots of people still stay after 5, so there is pressure to work longer hours. At times, hard to concentrate because people are always talking and laughing with each other, but a good pair of headphones will help.

I have been working at Workday full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great product, well-managed at the higher levels, expanding, very positive and flexible work environment. Some of the best people you'll ever work with.

    Cons

Infrequent raises, even for long-time employees. One or two departments treat their employees badly. And there really aren't enough bathrooms on each floor anymore.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it easier for employees to transfer internally. Other than that, keep up the good work.

I have been working at Workday as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

    Community as a whole
    The work environment

    Cons

Upper management seems to abuse their power a bit much.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't believe that because you are in a higher position, you will receive everything your heart desires.

I have been working at Workday full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working here is a great time. Lots of company parties, team outings, great culture and work-life balance.

    Cons

Not very competitive with pay, raises, RSU's, or bonuses. I've been here 2 years and I just received my first raise. It would have been a good first year raise, but after 2 years I was expecting much more. They also only give raises/promotions twice a year during performance reviews.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide better compensation

I worked at Workday full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    -Friendly People
    -Fun Culture
    -Is growing rapidly
    -wants to get better
    - is killing the competition

    Cons

People who have been in management since the company started aren't up-to-date with the consumer app quality that Workday is aspiring for. It really holds it down.
Many of the new people hired come from places that Google and Facebook would not hire from.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should be making offers to people from everyday brands to come in and help pick up some of the drag. Recruiting from similar companies to Workday will only bring the product down. Which I know Workday does not want.
