Senior Software Engineer at Accenture

No Offer – Interviewed in Mumbai – Reviewed May 19, 2013 New

Interview Details My interview was scheduled by one of the HRs of Accenture from Bangalore. It was scheduled for 27th April. After reaching the venue, I realized that it was a walk-in with pre-registered candidates. I was asked to fill-up a very long form. After waiting for 1-1.5 hrs, I was called for technical discussion. It was for 45-50 mins. According to me, it went well. Then I was asked to wait outside.
Again, after a wait of around 1 hr, HR called me. She started the HR discussion with the questions about my profile, my work-ex. She asked me about my career plan. my notice period etc. She asked questions on some real time non-technical problems( negotiation with client on time line etc.) At the end, she told me that she is done with the interview. I asked her whether I should wait outside or leave. She asked me if I am carrying all the documents with me. I said yes. But after thinking for 2 seconds she told me that I would come to know about the process after one day and I could leave that time. I waited for their call for 4-5 days. Finally, I called up the HR, who had scheduled my interview. But he told me that he had not got the feedback yet and to wait for 3-4 days. They never called me back. After calling the HR 3-4 times, finally after 3 weeks he told me that the project for which I was interviewed has gone on hold. If it starts again, they will call me. He told me that I have not been rejected. I found it very strange. Should I keep waiting for their project to come live again.

Procurement Associate at Accenture

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Bangalore Apr 2013 – Reviewed May 17, 2013 New

Interview Details Received a call stating I have been selected for the interview. On the interview day, waited for 4 hours after which interview lasted 20 min. Basic questions on procurement were asked and followed by the usual career goals etc. After a week got a call stating I was selected for second round. On the interview day, the same questions were asked, after which I was told, the decision conveyed within a week.
I receive a call asking when can i resign from the present company and they kept insisting on resigning early even without discussing the pay. When I asked I was told the pay would be discussed only after background verification is complete, which was a mess as i had to submit the same set of documents three times to the same person.
There is absolutely no Co ordination in the HR dept as different persons call asking for the same info again and again make us wait for an entire day to tell that come again tomorrow.
After submitting documents, salary discussion started and it ended within 5 min as they offered me half the pay which i am currently drawing, and explained that pay is as per the company standard slabs etc etc.

Interview Question – Nothing Unexpected   Answer Question

Reason for Declining – Pay was less than the current pay which i was drawing.

Software Development Engineer In Test at Accenture

No Offer – Interviewed in Hyderābād Apr 2013 – Reviewed May 13, 2013 New

Interview Details I have got a call through consultancy that there is an opening in Hyderabad for SDET role. I have attended a walkin after couple back and forth emails and calls. The people from HR are not that coordinated. One person started asking people to sit in a queue in which they come and another person started asking to fill initial registration first before sitting. It appeared for a lot of time as if you are never going to get your chance for initial registration.
Of course, I can early so I recognized the pattern and ensured that I got my initial registration done as early as possible.

However, after completing that, i got called very late, looks like the interviewer for SDET hasn't come early. So, The interviewer asked me questions about OOPS, SQL, C#, QTP etc., I haven't had any trouble answering.

After this round, I was interviewed by another person, who asked me similar questions and asked me to write a program to print a star pyramid, easy. I cleared this as well easy.

Next is the HR round, interview is good. However, due to my current salary and my expectation being very high, he asked me if I would like to negotiate, I said I won't negotiate below a certain amount, which obviously is higher than what he can give. So, he said compensation is problematic.

Interview Question – Nothing difficult or unexpected as far as I feel.   Answer Question

Interview Details Accenture has day-long interview process like others but the most irritating thing that this company has done is

1. Not to allow the interview candidates to have food in their premises.
2. Make people wait from morning till evening and then loose the resume submitted by candidates
3. Conduct interview though the resume is lost but make people sit and fill out forms in the beginning
4. Ask the candidate to leave without conducting interview
