Formal. Interviewer tried to present a relaxed format, but they didn't seem to feel comfortable doing this [perhaps they are new]. He used a scripted format - psychological type interview. These formatted interviews attempt to be objective - but they make the applicant ill-at-ease. And they do not demonstrate how well the person reacts to a client, or how well the applicant can communicate in writing.
- Tell me about a time when you received a call from a difficult client. What was the situation, and how did you handle them?

Had an interview with Jessyca Gurnoe who was very professional. She then sent me to see another person who was a Supervisor to further my interview. The Supervisor took me to the floor and showed me around a little and allowed me to ask questions until she finally interviewed me. She took me back to Jessyca Gurnoe and recommended me for hire.

Initial communication was a phone call, they then asked you to come in for an interview. This interview took roughly 2 hours to complete, they offered 9$/hr when I started there as the "in-training" wage. Very large business building, seems overwhelming at first. This company leases space from Verizon Wireless. Hiring Managers are very cheerful, suck you in type of people that you will never see again after that day.
- Will your family be alright with you not being home from Christmas?

I applied online and received a call back to interview with the supervisor of the dept. I went in for the interview and it was suppose to be with the supervisor and the manager, but the manager was to busy to come into the interview. The office was a call center. He was very impressed with me at the end of the interview. I got an offer a week later.

After I applied, it took a while to get called (about 2 months). Got called the day before interview and testing. Process took ALL day! Did a typing and audio test, then a short multiple choice from about 5 areas (customer service, english, maths, etc). The interview went well, both Interviewers were pleasant.
- I don't remember the questions but they were basic common sense. Just don't over-think.

The interview process consists of a typing test, a customer response test to see how you would handle different scenarios, and a few face to face interviews where you will be asked questions pertaining to your experience in customer service, and your beliefs on what good customer service means.

ACS has such a high turnover rate they pretty much hire everyone that comes in the door if they are hiring and as long as you have a highschool diploma and type so many words a minute. Its not an interview I would be nervous of.
