Management Trainee at Cintas

No Offer – Reviewed May 10, 2013 New

Interview Details Applied online and also through the Cal Guard Work for Warriors program. It was rather relaxed. The Manager and I got along great and he told me a few times how I was more qualified than most people they get applying, with my military and degree/work experience. He also asked a few curious questions about my Guard commitment. And then I didn't even get a second interview. I don't think they wanted someone still in the Guard, though they claim to be a very pro military company.

Interview Question – They were all very standard situational type questions. "Tell me about a time when you had a conflict with a supervisor" and stuff like that. Pretty simple if you have any life experience at all.   Answer Question

Management Trainee at Cintas

No Offer – Interviewed in Oklahoma City, OK (US) Apr 2013 – Reviewed May 07, 2013 New

Interview Details The process is quite drawn out and is fairly intimidating. A culmination of 4 interviews led to lunch with the regional vice president. The interviews involved about 6-8 role-playing questions per and then allowed time for looser structured questions for the interviewer and interviewee.

Interview Question – Name a time when you took the initiative to improve the safety of your work environment and what difference did it make?   Answer Question

Sales Representative at Cintas

No Offer – Interviewed in Nashville, TN (US) Apr 2013 – Reviewed Apr 15, 2013

Interview Details They emailed me first. Set up a time to meet within 3 days after I applied. The interviewer/manager didn't seem too friendly or interested in my background or experience. It looked as though they needed someone really quick to fulfill the job, so everything seemed "shotgun" including the questions.

Interview Question – "What was one policy or thing about your last job that you didn't like"   Answer Question

Human Resources Manager at Cintas

No Offer – Interviewed in Feb 2013 – Reviewed Apr 14, 2013

Interview Details I was first contacted by the incumbent HR Manager via LinkedIn to ask if I would be interested in this opportunity with the company; after looking into the job description, we set up a phone interview to talk about the position more in detail.

The phone interview was pretty basic, just inquiring about my background, describing the position, and asking a few behavioral questions. A week later I met on-site with the Plant Manager for a tour and second interview.

The second interview was all behavior-based questions again, and went very well. I was then shown around the plant and always was open to asking questions about Cintas, the plant, and the position.

I was invited for a third interview a week leader with the Regional HR Manager; again, behavioral-based questions, and this one was pretty brief, seeing as I had two people answer most of my questions before this point.

Since I was the first person they interviewed, it was several weeks before I heard from them again, and I was invited to lunch by my first two interviewers to re-engage with me/ask any lingering questions. I was pretty hopeful at this point, since the meeting was pretty personal.

A week later I received a rejection e-mail, and was a bit disappointed investing two months into the process, but overall it was a pretty positive experience.

I was told by the second interviewer that the way the Cintas interview process is set up, the managers do not speak about candidates between interviews, so the final decision is when they all collaborate together to chose the best fit.

Interview Question – Tell me about a time when you had to utilize your network to achieve an objective.   Answer Question

Management Trainee at Cintas

No Offer – Interviewed in Mason, OH (US) Mar 2013 – Reviewed Apr 13, 2013

Interview Details Cintas first and foremost requires an online application, which requires you to register with their career "portal" and answer general questions regarding your credentials and past experience, as well as a short list of screening questions to see whether or not you meet their basic requirements for the position you are applying for.
If you meet these basic requirements, Cintas will get in touch with you and request a 30 minute phone interview to further discuss the position and answer any questions you may have about that position.
The next step in the process (you will typically hear back via email or phone within 10 days), a "2nd round interview" takes place that consists of physically visiting the location you'd be working at. There you will typically meet the recruiter who got in touch with you regarding your application, as well as the people you'd be working with and/or under (depending on whether your position is an entry level position or not).
After this takes place, Cintas requires a general test/assessment for their applicants to see their leadership skills and style, test your basic math skills, etc.
Depending on how many candidates are being interviewed for the position, you could wait up to another 10 days to hear back from Cintas. The next step is either a formal declination, offer of employment, suggestion to apply to another position that they believe you may fit better in, or request for a third and final interview.

Interview Question – There wasn't one question that was too difficult - all ranged about the same. Just be sure to answer the questions in a way that reflects your desire for the position!   Answer Question

Sales Representative at Cintas

No Offer – Reviewed Apr 17, 2013

Interview Details They interviewed me on campus, which went well. Took an online test that asked me questions related to math problems, reading, writing, etc. It wasn't too bad. They called me for a next interview, but were not going to pay for my traveling expenses. I drove 4 hours to the location for the interview to last an hour and get a generic email that night saying I did not advance onto the next interview. Cheap company because they aren't willing to pay for your transportation to interview you.
