I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Comcast (Philadelphia, PA) in May 2009
Interview
Interview process was very fast and smooth. There was an open position for an immediate need. I applied and heard back within the week. Within 2-3 weeks I had an offer in hand without any issues. I negotiated a bit and the recruiter and hiring manager were easy to deal with during the whole process.

Interview
Informal chat with engineers and management
Some questions were technical oriented towards technology as a whole and some were more specific drill down types of questions related to my background and broad knowledge.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Comcast in Oct 2011
Interview
Bad experience altogether. Had an initial phone screen with hiring manager. Brought in 4 weeks later for a on-site interview. I interviewed with several team members all at once. They basically took turns asking technical questions. I was able to answer all of them and I got a feeling that they were taken back at the technical detailed answers I gave them. Also, it did not seem like there processes and procedures were equal to what I was used to at my present company and they seemed to be embarassed a little. Manager told me I would hear something in about a week. It's been over a month and nothing from them. Not that it matters but I wouldn't have accepted their offer if it was given. Their engineers are nowhere near as good as where I am currently working. It would be a step back for me.
