In the interview, I was asked the basic question - Tell me about yourself and then move on to your CV. Some very basic questions on my articleship experience, Accounting Standards and Derivatives. The interviewers were extremely friendly and overall, it was a great experience.

Assistant Vice-President at Credit Suisse

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Pune Jan 2009 – Reviewed Feb 05, 2013

Interview Details One gets an interview call through the local job consultants, who then fixes the date n time of your interview. There are about 2 rounds, first by the HR screening team, then the team manager (AVP/VP) followed by the Director. As long as the candidate is clear about the profile, he/she need not worry about interview. Its a sureshot win.

Interview Question – Why changing your existing company? What do you know about the product? How did you manage a difficult situation? Most challenging situation? Certifications? Usually the minimal qualiication required is an accountant or an MBA (fin) with 5 years of experience. Moreover the company also relies on campus hiring a lot these days   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Credit Suisse is a pay master and they do not negotiate much, infact they are happy to give more, make the employee happy. Relocation costs are fantastic, I believe no other company provides as much.

Technical Analyst at Credit Suisse

No Offer – Interviewed in Mumbai Aug 2012 – Reviewed Sep 22, 2012

Interview Details Initially we had an aptitude paper which was very tough. It consisted questions on Puzzles and Probability in section one and 7 programs in section two with two questions in bonus section.
It was necessary to attempt at least 3 or 4 from both the sections and bonus section was optional. But it was a good idea to attempt this section as they were simple questions on Networking and even if you write 2 lines correctly you get 15 marks for it.
They shortlisted 30 students out of 77 and were called for interview next round

Round 1(Technical Interview) 1hr
In tech they asked me
About Polymorphism, Object Oriented concepts.
Write a pseudocode for getting the data from leaf node in a multiway search tree.
Told me to write the structure of node for multiway search tree.( They will give you hints)
Question on Garbage collection in Strings.
Told me to give example of Multithreading and where it is used.
If in an application one thread crashes will the entire application crash?
Semaphore, Monitor, Synchronize.
Most of them had second Technical Interview but it was not for me as I think I convinced them that I am technically good.

Round 2(Management Round) 45mins
They gave me various case studies which were very interesting to solve and answer like
1. You have an DahiHandiEvent tomorrow and you are the leader of the group of five. As Schedule was tightly packed no one can do extra work but at the end two of them refused to work. So now what will you do.
2. You are in a Queue to buy a movie Ticket. Some one is trying to break the line and take the tickets from front directly. You will stop him. Now your HOD wants a ticket and seeing the long queue he tells you to buy the ticket for him. What will you do?
3. Gave me puzzle of 9 balls and tell him the one defective ball by weighing with less possible times
4. Some more scenarios like this.

Round 3 Director Round(45 mins)
Asked me about my future plans. About MS.
He told me to make an application for this room to check electric supply in this room. What will you consider. Take the marker and write on the board
Then he told me to write the qualities of a candidate that you will hire to make this application on the board in one minute.
He asked me some questions on family background, etc

Round 4 HR(20 mins)
Family Background.
Most depressed moment for me.
Future Plans.

My suggestion to you is be confident in your interview. They will give you hints so be confident. They may ask you question on your aptitude paper and make you solve the questions which were wrong and which were not attempted by you. So be prepared for it. Do some research on Credit Suisse. They may ask you.

Interview Details IBD KPO analysts are hired through campus placements. Selection consists of 2 parts. First shortlist is based on resume and a screening test. If you are shortlisted, then you are invited for interviews. Interviews consist of 3 rounds mostly. First is a technical round which is conducted by team leads at IBD.
