Interview Details Applied online and was called about a week later for an interview. Take the time to dress nice and don't come in sports apparel. Arrived a little early for the interview and it went well. The questions were all pretty basic, nothing caught me off guard.

Interview Details Hard to apply on line and select the correct store location with more than one store in a city.

Interview Details I applied online for this job. They called me back about a month later to ask if I was still interested. I said yes. Gave me an interview that lasted 30 mins. Very laid back environment, questions were not hard at all. What sport do or did you play? What are my organizing skills? Team player questions, leadership, etc. You must play and or know some type of sport.
I was called about 3 days later for a second interview. He only asked me what sport did I play? Can I name some running shoes? And how would I sell a sneaker to a customer? Pretty much what questions would I ask to identify the customers needs. It last literally 5 mins and ask when can I start.

Negotiation Details – They offered me what I was hoping to start with. They base it off experience.

Interview Details The hiring process is fairly simple. They usually call a week or two after you apply online depending on the stores needs (best bet to apply during the summer months). Then they will call to setup an interview. My first interview lasted about an hour or so and they just asked the basic questions of "why Dick Sporting Good?" and "Give me an example of when you went above and beyond the call to help someone?"" Then after the interview they don't call back if you did not get the position. I then applied to another store same position, got another interview, they asked the same generic questions but a little more in-depth about sports equipment like types of high school and college baseball bats and the different technology that goes into them, and since I knew that I literally got hired on the spot only because I knew about sports since I played them in high school.

Negotiation Details – Did not have one got offered on the spot.

Interview Details just had second interview. 2 questions same as previous interview. one about what you learned from your sport. a time of fast pace work. 5 questions only

Interview Details Be prepared to talk to a number of people at multiple levels in different departments. Sports minded, customer oriented people are who they look for. If you don't like retail, people or change.. then don't apply

Negotiation Details – Not much negotiation, you tell them where you would like to start and they tell you what they're offering....

Interview Details Three phone interview, onsite interview and a presentation.

Interview Details They did not even give me the opportunity to interview. I was very disappointed especially after I contacted them several times and put in many cover letters.

Interview Details Don't come for interview wearing athletic apparel. Take the time and dress nice. Be outgoing and friendly. Interview is a breeze.

Negotiation Details – They tell you what they will pay you. No negotiation.
