Declined Offer – Interviewed in Apr 2013 – Reviewed May 19, 2013 New
Interview Details
The interviewing process was done by group interview. There were around 5 other girls interviewing at the time. We were taken by the manager and an assistant manager to the mall's food court to conduct the interview, I suppose because there's really no backroom at Forever 21. We were given an availability sheet and asked to fill out the hours we could work. We were also informed that as part of our agreement with the company, we were not allowed to work at any other company that sold women's apparel.
For the interview itself, we were asked a question and then answered in a round robin fashion. The managers took notes on the backs of our availability sheets. The questions I can recall are: How would you react/deal with witnessing another employee stealing from the company? what is a popular spring trend? what motivates us? We were asked for questions at the end before we all left.
I received a call a day or two later. I was told what my starting salary would be. I tried to negotiate but the offer was firm. I accepted the offer, but declined a few days later when I received a better offer from another employer.

Interview Details I applied in person and as soon as I handed in my app I was set up for an interview. The day of the interview I got there and sat down with my interviewer. She was very nice and personable. The questions were pretty easy; she asked me to tell her about myself (I talked about school) and asked about my volunteer experience since I haven't worked before. She also asked why I wanted to work in the store and what I thought my responsibilities would be if I were hired. The whole process was about half an hour and she offered me a job after the interview. I have orientation on Monday

Interview Details Well I went to an open interview and we were handed applications to fill out on the spot, (so make sure you have a working pen and something to press on.) The manger walked around and put us into lines of 15. I was in the first 15 group and about 5 minutes later we were taken to a corner in the store where we were interviewed. The person that interviewed us was the assistant manger on the floor; he was really friendly. He asked us questions such as: "what is your first name and last initial", "have you worked before or currently working, if so where and what do you do?" and "one fun fact about you." All you have to really do is show that you are a fun person to work with, make sure to smile, but not too much. That day later I got a call for a second interview for the next day. I went and there was still about 12-15 people, but this time we were taken to the back of the store were we sat down and was interview by a different assistant manger. Just like the first interview we all got a chance to answer the questions, which were: "Tell me your first name" "something I should know about you" "Who is your favorite designer? Or your favorite famous person that you like their style and why?" "Have you worked in retail before?" The interview lasted for about 10 minutes and she said that if you were offer the job aspect a call by Wednesday. She was nice but not as nice as the first person who I got interviewed by.

Interview Details I was referred by an employee and got a phone call from the assistant manager a few days later. The interview was very unprofessional and took place in the hall at the back of the store next to the employee restroom and stockroom. Asked very general interview questions such as "why do you want to work at forever 21" and "what is your major".
Interview Question – Standard interview questions. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Not negotiable. Minimum wage.

Interview Details The process was definitely odd. It was a group interveiw at first. You had to know all the key facts about Forever 21, who founded it? Where is the first one? Then they would ask people to leave or stay. The people who stayed were onto the interview round, the people who left went home. Then you would have a one to one interview. Then you would get the call.
Interview Question – The most difficult was, when did you last give excellent customer service? The unexpected was, What animal would you be? Answer Question
