Interview Details Applied through campus recruiting, interviewed on campus a few weeks later. Interview was behavioral with two interviewers. Questions were pretty basic and interviewers were friendly. Received word about 1 week later that I was not moving on to the next round. After asking for feedback, I was told that it would have been beneficial to me if I had attended the info session (which I had done), which makes me think they do not check their sign-ins.

Interview Details
Met a manager at the ASU career fair. Had a phone interview approximately a week later. In person interview about 10 days after that. Interview day lasted about 5 hours and consisted of a plant tour and 4 separate 30-45 minute interviews with various managers and HR. Questions were straight out of an interview book. Invited back for a job shadow a week later. Spent 8 hours following a current resource around and learning about the job. At this point I was told I was a frontrunner candidate and they just needed to run some things by HR and I would be receiving a call within a week. I thought my prospects would be good for a job offer at this point and was rather excited.
2 weeks passed and I tried emailing HR, no answer. Tried calling HR and they don't answer their phones. I left them a voice message and they could not be bothered to get back to me. I emailed the manager at the plant, and received no answer from him. Called the manager, and no answer again. I finally managed to get one of the managers I spent the day with on the phone and his tone completely changed. He acted like I was a stranger and informed me that they are not done doing interviews and to expect to hear back from them in two weeks. As of this writing it has been about a month since then and 6.5 weeks since I did my job shadow, but I am not holding out any hope. It's okay because I have managed to find a job with a better salary and MUCH better hours.
Honestly, dealing with this company has left an extremely sour taste in my mouth. I understand that companies do a lot of interviews and can't get back to every candidate. But to make me spend a full 8 hour day (unpaid) doing a job shadow and just leaving me hanging like that is so unprofessional, I wouldn't expect it from such a large, corporate company like Frito Lay. A simple rejection email or phone call would suffice, especially after spending 13 total hours of my personal time at that plant with no compensation. This was at their Casa Grande, AZ facility so it may be a localized issue. They have also taught me a lesson when dealing with future potential employers about giving out my own personal time for "job shadows". Nevertheless, Frito Lay will always be remembered in my mind as VEHEMENTLY UNPROFESSIONAL and I will never willfully choose to seek employment with them again. If this is how they treat their candidates, I don't want to imagine how they treat their employees.
Interview Question – Typical behavioral stuff. Remember respond using situation, action, response strategy. They really drive the fact that you will be working 50+ hour weeks, holidays, and possibly overnight shifts. Answer Question

Interview Details Applications are only accepted via computer/online during a very limited time. There is an initial interview and "Select Test." They take the applicants into the production plant and let them try packing to get a feel and sight of what they'll be doing.
