Interview Details
I had submitted my application and resume online and got an email the next day asking to schedule an interview. Within the time between scheduling and the actual interview I mostly looked on this website for insight as to what to expect when I am there. The questions are pretty much the same as everything that is on here from "Why do you want to work at Macy's?" to "What would you do if you say an employee or customer acting suspiciously?" The woman I interviewed with was very nice, friendly, and easy going.
In general if you want to have a good interview I'd say get there around ten minutes early, make sure you go over in your head what you would say to the questions posted on this website, and be natural. They like honest people who aren't shy and nervous. Try to be welcoming to any person you see while you're going to or waiting for your interview as well, I actually met my interviewer downstairs before I even knew who she was.
Interview Question –
"Describe a situation where you were forced to make a quick decision that you were unhappy in making?"
She said, though, that if I had not experienced it then just to say if I would get over it or brood over it the whole day. Obviously the better answer to say is that you would get over it.
Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation. As I was going for a part-time, non-commission, flexible scheduling option they could only put me in three departments that all paid minimum wage.

Interview Details Interviews are pretty typical for a sales person. What they are looking for is people that are engaging, goal driven, and full of energy. Be sure to come to the interview dressed appropriately and in current fashion, this is a department store. The online application is long but do not skip any of it because it will automatically reject you from the system.
Interview Question – What would you do to turn a customer's answer from "no" to "yes" when trying to sell something? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I was able to negotiate but don't expect anything too far from what they offered.

Interview Details I applied online and was given a call about two days later asking me to come in for an interview. The interview was very simple with the most basic questions. It was kinda boring. After that interview I was called back a second time, and meet with a different manager, who I'm assuming was trying to figure out what kinda direction i wanted to go in with the company. I was called in a third time and meet with the manager of the area I would be in.

Interview Details When I arrived I was 15 minutes early so I sat and waited for the manager. 30 minutes later the manager still had not arrived so I asked one of the workers nearby who was going to conduct the interview. They then proceeded to hunt down the manager. Finally I got into the conference room with the manager who told me she was unable to print the normal questions so she came up with some she remembered. They were typical questions. Why Macy's? What is an example of good customer service you gave?... Overall the manager was super nice and down to earth.
