Customer Service Associate at PNC Financial Services Group

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Midland, MI (US) Mar 2010 – Reviewed Jun 14, 2013 New

Interview Details First you apply online, then you get a call from a recruiter, then a telephone interview, then an online assesment, then an interview, then maybe another depending on the position. The online assesment is pretty easy and the recrutier is pretty friendly. The hardest part is the actual interview in the branch, they ask questions that are very hard to answer when put on the spot.

Interview Question – "Name a time when you had to help an upset customer and they left happy?" " Name a time you had to adjust to a new policy, how did you overcome any concerns with it?"   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – You can negotiate with the recruiter - I never did, but some coworkers have and when they started at the higher salary they were not allowed to get bonuses for the first year

Service Representative at PNC Financial Services Group

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Oct 2012 – Reviewed Jun 13, 2013 New

Interview Details First you talk to the hiring recruiter who schedules you a group interview. It's usually with about 12-15 other people. They go around the room asking a series of questions. The people judging you: a branch a manager, the recruiter, and another person working on more of the corporate side. After the first interview if they like you they pair you up with a branch and they schedule an one-on-one interview with you and the branch manager (there could be other people included in this depeing on the branch like the teller supervisor or the assistant branch manager). After that those people decide if they want you and you get an acceptance or rejection letter. the great thing about it is if yu are rejected after the second interview then you can go from branch to cranch to see if maybe another manager wants you.

Interview Question – Most difficult question for me was why do you want this job? Simply because I had to think of a different excuse other than for the money. everythings mostly customer service questions. Not many banking questions.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – When they tell you how much you are getting paid that is your ONLY time to negotiate. DO NOT accept the salary if you don't negotiate first.
