Toyota North America Specialist interview questions

Questions were behavioral and situational questions. I was asked to explain in the STAR format. SItuation, Task, Action, Result. Some of the questions were not as easy to explain in the STAR format as others were.

They mainly asked about previous co-op experiences. The role you took on. Mainly behavioural questions. Since an HR rep came it was not very technical other than knowing your resume well.

Long Process, Interviewers were late. Started with a brief overview (never read it) of my resume. Next were questions about the thinking and business process. Focus areas turned out to be questions associated with the Performance Management Program. Determined fit and approach.

They asked me about my resume and how i worked in groups. Behavioral analysis questions...tell me about a time when you had to overcome group differences. Or tell me about when you started a project and the project failed. Things of that nature

20 minutes. Behavioral questions. 2 interviewers: 1 technical, 1 HR

Extensive interview process. On site interview consist of a panel of managers.

4 people asking questions. Follows the STAR format and also has some competency questions.

Typical interview times is about 3, one with HR, the other is with hiring manager and the last is with the hiring manager and the vice-president of the department which you'll be entering. HR will interview you based on your qualifications, experience as well as your suitability. Hiring managers will ask you more on your knowledge of the job as well as to test your critical thinking and problem solving skills. Last interview with the hiring manager and vice-president is more of them explaining the overall job to you to see if you might still be interested.

For the EiT program there was only one interview. The two interviewers used the START format. Typically, if you express knowledge of Toyota products and can display some rudimentary understanding of the Toyota Production System, you will do well

Phone and panel interview were very standard for Toyota. They want answers in STAR format. Questions like "Tell me about a time when you and a coworker did not see eye-to-eye, and how the issue was resolved." Nothing to be afraid of, just jot down a few anticipated scenarios, and fit them to each question.
