Accepted Offer – Interviewed on Houston, TX (US) Jan 2012 – Reviewed Apr 16, 2012
Interview Details I went in for my first interview with personnel. They asked me basic questions - why do you want to work at Walmart, how much are you looking to make, what is your availability? After that, they passed me on to the zone manager over the cashiers who went into more detailed questions regarding customer service. All of the questions were easy, there were about 5 or 6 of them. After this interview, I waited for almost 45 minutes to meet with an assistant manager who basically asked me the same exact questions as the second manager. I went home, got a call back about 3 days later telling me to come in to accept my job offer. I signed some paperwork and had to take a drug test within 24 hours. It took about a week and a half for them to call after my drug test and I started orientation a week or so later.
Interview Question – Describe a time you went above and beyond for a customer. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There was absolutely no negotiation, even though I had previous cashiering experience.
