    I worked at Brink's, Incorporated part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    There is nothing that is a positive which you could not gain at any other employer. This is really sad to consider when you realize people who have worked here have lost their lives. And for what ? looking like law enforcement without any of the law enforcement type benefits.... shameful.

    Cons

    10 dollars an hour... well below what Fedex, Mailmen, UPS, Port-o-potty Cleaners, Shred it, Garbage men, and Tow Truck drivers make in income, despite the jobs being basically the same. O and guess what they usually don't get shot at as often as we do. This should summarize the shenanigans you will face with this company if you take a job with them.

    Horrible work hours with no over time pay. Stinky annual pay raises which suggest they care little.

    Managers who act like enlish and sadi royalty. Adding to this is a corporate and company culture that operates just like they did in the 1950's, because hey it worked then why shouldn't it work now? Well look at why the American auto industry failed in the 1970-80 for that answer. Furthermore, this culture views its staff with venomous suspicion and firmly believes that its staff is lazy and unworthy of anything. Then they wonder why they can't fill positions or get people to pick up open shifts. Hello your the cause of that problem.

    Training is scary because there is little of it. Then they throw people into the position who realize quickly the millions they pick up are now in their under-educated hands. This coupled with the fact that you have no back up when your out picking up millions, leads to high turnover. Most educated and better off individuals who don't have an infinity with weapons or killing people, usually leave within the first six months; in addition, Brinks seems to be proud of their revolving door spinning to the point it falls off, because they do absolutely nothing to promote an experienced work force.

    There really is to much to list about how bad things are. It is a job if you need one, but it isn't worth your life. You will be shock when you take the job and realize how little this industry regards the risk to your life, your partners life, or safety that you will face constantly.

    You'r better off anywhere else.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Increase the pay, increase the training, bring back three man crews, make a better training program, make Field Training Officers who get Incentives for doing well, stop killing us with needless paper work, incorporate technology into what we do, bring back shotguns and arm us with Rifles, actually train your staff on the "use of force continuum," this would reduce lawsuits and give your staff more confidence in when they can/cant use force, and start creating schedules that allow us to have lives outside of work.

    All in all you have a lot of work to do, stop neglecting us.
