I worked at Gameloft full-time (more than an year)

Some of the people are fun to work with.

There's a Hierarchy of Incompetence that cannot be beat. The higher up in the ladder you go, the more incompetent the people are. HQ is located in France and is full of people who don't know how mobile games work, and just chase trends that have expired. All of the creative input goes through to France and gets turned down in favour of their own ideas. Expect lots of overtime because someone from HQ wanted something changed. It doesn't stop at HQ, if for any moment you question a decision made by your direct superior they will inevitably go complain to one of the studio managers who will pull you aside and say that one day when you have a subordinate you can boss them around however you like.

There's no real job security, although it's hard to find that in the games industry as a whole sometimes, but I've witnessed someone get fired because someone at HQ wanted to show off an incomplete game and it had bugs in it, so we lost a member of our team.

No chance of promotion, as they prefer to keep their hierarchy intact, so they just take on new hires instead of allowing the talent that is there to move up.

Got laid off, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me.
