I have been working at Interactive Intelligence full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

You own your career here. If you are a true team player and remember that the customer is external and internal, you are the driver of your own success. I love working with people that are smarter than I am, and are happy to share their knowledge and experience. I learn something new every day, and I've been here awhile. Still loads to learn. Don Brown IS a software engineer, and he gets it.

    Cons

There's been tremendous growth and we've had to install a lot of business processes, ie red tape. I get why we have to do it, but it's a big pain. It's hard to maintain internal equity. Time off policy changed and it feels like time off is less unless you want to buy an extra week of vacation. 401k match is lacking and it would be good to see this every payroll rather than at the beginning of the next calendar year, because it's tied to company profits.
