    Toxic Stress

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    I worked at KaBOOM! full-time

    Pros

The best group of talented, hardworking people. PTO

    Cons

How ironic we tell others to use play to address toxic stress, when this organization causes toxic stress. The expectations for the new strategy are completely unrealistic. They are so focused on revenue and becoming more than playground builds. The CEO belittles staff in front of others. It's very sad and you never know if you are next. The pay is extremely low. At times you can feel pressured into providing personal contacts to the corporate sponsorship team to sell playground builds. A nice ask is reasonable, but one should not feel pressured to provide contacts out of fear of backlash from others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a serious conversation about why people are unhappy and leaving. It's more than what is on the surveys.
