I worked at Opus Software SolutionsPros
Salary will be paid on time.
Friendly HR though they will not be able to do anything against your technical manager's wish but they are good in organising Birthday parties and other outings, trainings every month.
Good company for freshers or less experienced but If you are highly talented or having great experience I wont recommend this company to you.Cons
Salary not upto industry standards. No canteen facility.
No quality work. Only major project available with them is Western Union. Need to wait for long time to get your work depends on your team.
Very congested cubicles.
If lead does not like you he will create a case for firing you. They will try to find mistakes intentionally from your work and only from your work. No matter how hard you work. This happens in Chennai office.
If project ends they will fire you by saying performance not satisfactory. If you show the proof that you performed well they will not accept. They will find some small mistakes from your work and use that as reason for firing you.
Only those dearest to lead/manager will get all the important work.
CEO has great vision but politics within the team ruining the company.
Attrition rate is bit high.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Need to be more quick in providing access to docs,PC and other essential stuffs to new joiners. Making them to wait for one month is too long.
Try to get more web based projects. Instead of recruting too many seniors and making them to sit idle hire only the required number of staff.
Select the candidates carefully during the interview. Consider all the pros and cons of the candidates and do thorough discussion before selecting the candidate. Simply selecting a wrong candidate and firing them within 4 or 5 months by saying performance issues and creating mental stress for that particular candidate is not the policy followed by level 5 organisations.
Recently too many freshers were hired when seniors were sitting idle most of the day. I do not understand that logic.
Advice the leads to provide prompt response for emails.
Politics is ruining the team, look into that. Just because 10 people who are dearest to the lead/manager are saying something it does'nt mean that should be true. Make thorough investigation before taking a decision. Do not take employees for granted. They are human beings and assets of any organisation.
Do not expect the employees to show improvement without providing them software access rights and other essential stuffs.
Do not remove employees without valid reason. If project gets completed try to accomodate them into new projects instead of firing them.
TREAT EVERYONE EQUALLY. I mean Provide equal opportunity to everyone irrespective of race, caste, religion, disability etc. That is the culture of CMMI Level 5 companies. Without doing that you cannot advertise yourself as CMMI level 5 certified.
Improve the infrastructure. Especially washroom and restroom, pantry in chennai office which are very small and not upto MNC standards. Provide more chairs during monthly meetings where all the employees were made to stand for almost one hour.
Try to provide canteen facility to employees in Chennai. During lunch times they are going to roadside mess or small hotels for lunch.
Everyone in the team are making mistakes and correcting them after review. Since you do not like someone you are making that particular guy's life a hell by finding small mistake in work and treating it as a big issue using it as a reason for firing. This is not the policy followed by professional Level 5 organisations.Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEO
