A magazine house wishing they were an agency

I worked at Pace Communications full-time

    Pros

    The people are nice.
    Everyone works on macs.
They have monthly agency meetings where they give you a top-line overview of the state of the agency and new client work.
They bring in free pizza during snow days and half days.

    Cons

Only the people who work on Verizon have ever worked at an agency before so they have no clue on any type of process or client service.
Several of the creative directors have no conceptual ability. They have to hire other agencies to create concepts and campaign ideas.
Digital is something they talk about and say they can do, but only a few employees sort of get.
They have big name clients, but get the peanut or crumb budgets.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Decide what you're going to be - a magazine house which is your strength or a true digital agency.
