I have been working at Pacific Sunwear full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I love the discount I get! They are pretty fair when it comes to buying new items (having to wait a week sucks, but in the end you'll get the item eventually)
    Flexible Hours
    Great Co-workers

    Cons

The leadership in my particular store is atrocious! It starts with the Store Manager and it trickles all the way down to the senior sales position. The managers complain all the time about their job outright to the Sales associates and even customers- basically anyone that will listen. They all have such stuck up, snotty attitudes and it rubs off on their SA's sometimes. The store manager is a whiny little brat who has the personality of Napoleon Bonaparte! The assistant manager's are ALWAYS on their phones and they even take personal calls on company time. How unprofessional!

The pay for Sales associates suck and you will never get the hours you want or need. I'd suggest only working here for a high school job, but this isn't a real life job. Yeah maybe it's a real job for the managers who clearly can't get anything better, but not for someone who's young and vibrant. Also, don't expect to get a promotion there because there's no room to grow. You'll get promised some type of growth, but it'll never happen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your sales associates better and don't expect them to learn things on their own. Follow through with promotions and stop leading people on to believe that they can grow in store.
