    Current Employee - Management

    I have been working at Prime Communications full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    * Pay is good
    * Opportunities for advancement
    * Build great relationships with great people
    * You will learn how to run a business better than ever after working here
    * Fun events like company retreats, "Pinnacle," and vendor sponsored events

    Cons

    * IT is a big issue
    * Training needs improvement, but in their defense, we are growing so fast that we need to adjust our training program
    * Benefits could be cheaper and cover more
    * Constantly connected at the manager level

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Overall, I believe this is a great company. While there will be some issues just like there is at all companies, if you work hard you will be paid well and gain valuable experience. The company is making efforts to fix some areas of opportunity, but things take time. When I started here, I had no idea I'd be where I'm at today and they have allowed me the opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them.

    Fix IT, improve the health benefits, and make it a little easier for new hires their first 3 months from a compensation stand point and I believe we'll reduce our turnover and improve employee satisfaction.

    In regards to work/life balance, the further up you move the less you'll have. That's any company. People need to stop be so damn lazy these days. If you want to make good company you're going to work hard. Train your employees better and your work/life balance will improve because they'll call you less.
