I worked at Richmond American Homes full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Existing and dynamic work, great local management, shared vision

    Cons

Corporate laid off the best and brightest and brought in their own people from Denver
Once the real brains left, the division quickly declined. Little to no career advancement. The entire focus was on the numbers with no thought on employee development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire and retain local talent who know the market. Be willing to adapt to the local culture. Stop looking at the home building process as building widgets and turning numbers.
