    I have been working at U.S. Bank full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Extremely professional work environment. If you can be successful at US Bank you can do well at any financial institution. Great reputation, US Bank is very conservative, our best interest is to be paid back so we don't overextend the customer. US will not take part in bad investments for example the mortgage crisis... While other banks were giving out insane mortgage rates to anyone, We kept our same lending guidelines the same, resulting in US not needing the "bail out" and not setting our customers up for failure.

    Cons

    Compensation is low compared to other banks. It's joked about that US Bank is the training institution for all other banks. It is difficult to move up in house and when you do, the pay is usually considerably lower then someone who is hired on from another employer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay BBO's more, We lose so much money training the Business Banking Officers, having them work for US for 2 years then move to another bank. In turn US Bank not only loses good employees but also gives other institutions the benefit of hiring a well trained employee with a possible book of business.
