I worked at UAMS Medical Center full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

A technically oriented employee can always look forward to new challenges and to working with people with diverse academic and technical backgrounds. A synergy can and often does flourish in such an environment.

    Cons

Work-life balance is generally good depending on the nature of the position. The number of leisure time interrupts will necessarily be higher in a 24x7 support role as opposed to a strategic research position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please try to minimize political infighting wherever you find it. Open management and dealing fairly with every employee leads to a happy and healthy workplace.
