    Pros

Computer system is the best so far. You will always have work. Great benefits. Hours are accommodating for college students. You have on hands training. We always recruited from colleges and technical schools like Remington, U of H and ITT. In the store I worked, we all got along like family. Every pharmacist I worked with has their own system of how they do their job, they are all professional in their decisions and their work ethics.

    Cons

Always short of help. Corporate won't increase help and hours unless we can keep a certain amount of prescriptions. Everything is based on KPI's, these are reports showing how many prescriptions are done every minute, day, week, etc. We were always overloaded which makes it hard to do orders, check in orders, to keep the pharmacy in order. If you work at Walgreens be ready to wear your running shoes

    Advice to Management

You can't base the amount of help to the amount of prescriptions because some prescriptions take longer to type and fill. You need to relieve the stress level the staff goes through. And the customer is not always right. We have had situations where we followed policy guidelines and corporate made us break them in order to please the customer, this makes us look like we were in the wrong. There are times we should be compassionate and accommodate the customer but sometimes it's the same ones that take advantage.
