Specific duties include:
- Troubleshooting, repair, overhauling all types of Heavy Diesel Equipment and Industrial Machinery.
- Maintain company, gas, diesel, and electric forklifts Disassemble, inspect and replace worn or broken parts, Hydraulic, and Electrical systems.
- Maintain Inventory, Parts usage, and records of vehicle maintenance.
- Responsible for the Requisition of parts and working closely with Purchasing Dept.
- Maintain consistent presence at assigned worksite and regular work hours specified.
- Professionally interact with colleagues and co-workers Comply with all Company policies and applicable laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Physically able to effectively repair forklifts, loaders and other equipment as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, welding skills, lubrication, tune-ups, tire repairs, fueling, troubleshooting, and general repair of Heavy Equipment and Forklifts.
- Have Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel, Electrical, Electronics training from Technical
Schools.
- Knowledge of creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Possess the Ability to identify, correct and report Safety Hazards.
- Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management programs.
- Able to use computer system for work orders and parts.
- Professional demeanor when dealing with co-workers, supervisors, management, employees, outside agencies, and vendors.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, comprehending, speaking, reading and writing in English.
Position is in a remote location in Alaska.
