    Application Details

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at GrubHub in February 2015.

    Interview Details

Phone screen with a director, then an in-person shortly thereafter. Lasted around 4 hours. A steady sequence of one-on-one interviews with hands-on coding, whiteboard design, and culture fit questions. I enjoyed all the exercises, and completed all of them without too much trouble. Wasn't really able to shine in the coding exercise due to time constraints. The conference room also wasn't quite set up (had to wait for an HDMI adapter), so they were mildly disorganized.

The most irksome thing about the whole process: it's been almost 2 weeks and I haven't heard back. I thought I did fairly well, but it seems they're not into telling people "no." This would have been a positive experience if they had just come out and said they were moving on to other candidates.
