I worked at MongoDB as an intern for less than a yearPros
Mongo just has some of the smartest people I've ever worked with. It's clear everyone is very passionate about the product and about doing things well, no shoddy engineering to be found. Perfect balance of professionalism and nerd culture.
Also who wouldn't wanna get around the office in a scooter?Cons
Big drinking culture. I felt that to be slightly polarizing when it would happen very often. But that's just me. Also it felt like my supervisors were constantly in meetings when I needed to meet with them.RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO

I applied online. The process took 3 months - interviewed at MongoDB in January 2014.Interview Details
I had an initial interview for the Development Intern position and I found the interviewer to be young and inexperienced through her way of asking questions. Once the interview was over, I followed up with an email and didn't hear back from her for three months. In that period, I sent her 2 other emails enquiring about my status and she finally responded saying that I didn't get the internship because I was overqualified. Extremely unprofessional!Interview Questions
