Not enough hours and pay isn't great.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be More organized with your shipping and safety to staff, some stores don't even have air conditioning. Shipping boxes stacked everywhere at back and can hardly move and is a fire hazard.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took a day - interviewed at New York & Company in June 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied online from a recommendation from my cousin who use to work there. Within a week, I got a call from the store manager saying to come in for an interview. When I went in for the interview it was very casual. One of the managers asked about my hours, which was very important, and if I had experience in sales. A couple of days later, I received a call saying I got the job. I had to come in to fill out paperwork and watch a training video. I think the people are great and friendly, the back office is only for managers, and the work culture is fast pace depending on the day.

The hours in which I could work. I told them any day except I did have an internship that summer that needed days off.
