    Realtors are independent contractors, but that doesn't you'll be accepted at every brokerage. REMAX prides themselves on full time educated professionals. Family is of course important, but be sure to focus on how much time you're willing to put in to your career. Mentioning any additional training or designations will not only hep you get accepted, but also negotiate a better commission split.
