Red Ventures uses advanced online marketing and a highly skilled sales force to optimize and disrupt every stage of the online sales process for partners in high-growth industries. Our in-house capabilities include digital marketing, lead generation, sales conversion, proprietary performance tracking and technology. Red Ventures is headquartered just south of Charlotte, NC.

What We Do
What we do is unique and often hard to explain. In a nutshell: we partner with large brands in high-growth industries and we own the entire direct marketing process on their behalf - from demand generation to closing the sale. Our expertise lies in our ability to optimize the entire customer lifecycle for these brand partners. We do this by connecting with potential customers from their initial interest in the marketplace to their end transaction.
It all begins with that exciting moment when a potential customer becomes interested in a product or service we help our partners sell. As soon as a customer expresses interest, typically through an online search, we handle the rest. At Red Ventures, we own the entire marketing funnel for our partners, from demand generation to closing the sale. Our team has expertise in natural search, paid search, cross-selling, sales scripting, copywriting, development and more.
We also have incredible sales agents. When a customer calls in, our agents are trained and ready to sell. From our advanced call-routing technology to our real-time sales scripts, we sell like it's nobody's business. Once we close a sale, we hand the customer over to the brand partner and they handle the billing, shipping and installation. Then, we get back to the good stuff: marketing and selling.
How We Work
We are performance-driven, fun-loving, and absolutely maniacal about data. It drives every decision we make, and our ability to collect, track and analyze both on and offlilne data is what gives us an edge on the competition. Did the customer buy? How long were they on the site? Why did they leave the site? We use these findings (plus hundreds more) to make decisions and optimize the entire sales and marketing process as we go.

I applied online. The process took a week – interviewed at Red Ventures in November 2014.Interview Details
I applied online through their website. They emailed me back within a week to schedule a phone screening that lasted about 5 minutes. During this time, the person I spoke with was upfront about the awful hours that would be scheduled (nights until midnight or later). At the end of the call, we scheduled an onsite interview for a few days later. At the onsite interview, I was first taken into a 1:1 interview in a side room. We went over the hours again and I was asked pretty general questions, nothing too difficult and nothing that would send up a red flag in my mind that I had to get right or else I'd get weeded out. From there I went on a tour of the newest building (RV3) where I was shown some of the amenities like the bowling alley, cafe, and yoga studio. We also walked through some of the call floor and then went into a one-hour presentation on the company where we listened in on a phone call. Everyone else seemed to be impressed by the amenities and casual dress but to me it all felt a bit off. There's a relaxed atmosphere and then there's going too far, and I got the impression that the envelope was pushed a little too far in this regard, like some could forget they're at work and push professional boundaries. Seeing some of the employees joking around the way they were just seemed a little unprofessional to me. They have prizes for top pranksters, as if they encourage that kind of behavior or something. I'm all for having fun and enjoying being at work, but to me it seemed a little much. The employees I met were all really nice but I didn't think this was a good fit for me.Interview Questions
