I have been working at Smiths Detection full-time (more than 5 years)

    Desirable work/life balance
    Flexibility when needed

    Danbury, CT office is closing
Too many chiefs - not enough indians
    6 years w/o a raise or bonus
Upper mgmt couldn't be more disconnected to the "common man" workers

Take off the suit and ties, push past the ego's and focus on what is really lacking for your worker bees. People need to be paid accordingly to stay motivated and loyal. Hence why upper mgmt is surprised that more Danbury employees aren't relocating to the Maryland facility. They don't want to follow a sinking ship!
