Core Values

At Dex Media, we live by six core values. These values shape everything we do, from how we develop and market our products to how we serve our customers, employees, and communities.

Honesty

We are open and transparent with our clients and colleagues. We move beyond barriers and share information, while also clarifying our intentions.

Accountability

We have confidence in those around us, and empower them to make decisions. We own our actions and will do it right the first time. If it’s not done right, we’ll step in and make it right—even when it requires more of us.

Integrity

We make choices that honor our values and follow through with what we say we are going to do. Our words and actions speak to our character and build a foundation of trust among those we work with.

Progressiveness

When looking at a problem, we consider it from all angles. We continue to ask if there’s a better approach, and will not accept “because we’ve always done it that way” as an answer.

Community

We think holistically. We know we’re all connected, and what we say and do either helps or hinders others. Each employee is an integral part of the organization. Every day we do all we can to take us a step closer to achieving our goals.

Diversity

We are committed to expanding and leveraging the diversity of our workforce. We believe that the wide variety of ideas, backgrounds, and perspectives of our employees makes us stronger and is a key asset for the company.

    Social Media Specialist Interview

    Application Details

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days - interviewed at Supermedia in December 2011.

    Interview Details

I was contacted by a third party recruiter and was schedule an interview at the corporate office near the DFW airport. My interview was scheduled for 11am and I arrived about 10:30am and went over some notes in my car. At 10:45 I went to the front desk and informed the receptionist about my interview. She called the hiring manager to tell him I was there and told me to take a seat and he’ll be with me shortly. The hiring manager did not come until 11:15. Strike 1. The hiring manager walked me through the office(which was huge) we made small talk until we got to his department. The manager said even though the interview was scheduled they didn’t have a room to interview me in and he apologized as he excused himself to find an open room. Strike 2. After the interview I noticed I had a voice message from the recruiter. She was wondering why I missed my interview and Supermedia had no records of me even being there. Strike 3. I told the recruiter that I was there. I was early. They made me wait and when she called me I was in the middle of the interview.

Needless to say I did not get the job nor would I have even taken it if I was offered. Both Supermedia and the recruiter are highly unprofessional.
