Current Employee – been working at AXA Advisors full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great Experience. Lots of opportunity for customer interaction. My experiences with management have been positive.
Cons – Can be hard to succeed depending on your area of the company / how developed relations are with local school systems / teacher salaries in your state / lots of competition
Advice to Senior Management – More structure
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at AXA Advisors full-time for more than a year
Pros – The branch structure is designed to really help new people learn and grow in the business. Training in various locations throughout the country is always a nice perk.
Cons – The branch I was at had a lot of issues, an absentee Branch Manager and zero support. Orphaned clients have talked about a "revolving door" of advisors.
Advice to Senior Management – Take a good look at the branches in New York.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at AXA Advisors full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great place if you're new to the industry. Training is good for overall product knowledge in life vehicles. You will get a good understanding of the uses and needs of life.
Cons – They seriously believe Cornerstone is the almighty one all best investment. Pay is crap. 2,000/ month in the rbg. You're dealing w cafe, maintenance, aids, and teachers. The creme brûlée client with wealth management needs, lol. LPL system is complete cramp. Not much is spoken about managed money. It's primarily a life insurance company.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay more. Get rid of 6 month contracts and step up to the plate. Otherwise you'll be training with high turn over and be another insurance company. Wall St. will not take you seriously. If there was a way to give them half a star I would. 1 star is too high IMO.

Former Employee – worked at AXA Advisors full-time for less than a year
Pros – 216,000 Employees
101 Million Clients
1.5 Trillion in AUM
Very Stable
Open Architecture
In Business 153 Years
Great Training, except from my manager (he has only been with AXA for about a year)
Great Comp if you are willing to work hard
9th Largest Co in the world
Beautiful offices
401K plus every benefit you can think off
Cons – Don't work for a new manager! Even though AXA is great, my manager was worthless. Other managers are great .... my bad luck.... I got hired by the new worthless manager. If you interview with them ask: How long have you been with AXA... if less than 5 years... politely ask if you could talk to another manager.
Advice to Senior Management – Tell your new managers to be honest with new candidates. If I had been hired by another manager, I would still work for them.

Former Employee – worked at AXA Advisors full-time for less than a year
Pros – Everyone in the office was very friendly and answered any questions you may have had. It was also a clean and welcoming office atmosphere.
Cons – There is no salary. I was promised salary plus commission and the salary disappeared once I finished training. This is not an entry-level position and I was very uncomfortable trying to sell to my friends and family. Also, the office is not as "team-oriented" as they say. Although I received guidance from my mentor, I was on my own making phone calls day. This is great position for someone with years of experience and the ability to live off of full commission.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't promise a salary.
