I worked at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Brand name adds charm to your experience
HR is supportive if you play by the policy
Almost in all major cities. Good offices.
International clients. Opportunities to go onshore.

    Cons

New management has started screwing things up. It is turning into austerity mode all of a sudden. AC outages, cutting relocation compensations, monitoring working hours now a days.
Getting out from a project or location for that matter is very hard.
Internal politics, lack of transparency in appraisal process...well that is practically everywhere though...!
Once you screw-up, it will take you down all the time. Almost no second chances.
Salary is pathetic. Variable pay takes a big chunk out of it and is based on half yearly performance and project budgets.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cherish your workers. Don't treat them as cost centers or some machine. Stick to the brand mantra, do not mix with the crowd, cost optimizing cannot come at the expense of brand dilution.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent salary (after the first 1-2 years)
Opportunity to structure salary for better tax efficiency
    Follows good project management methodologies
Good facilities for knowledge improvement (although not enough time)

    Cons

    Work-life balance gets neglected
High variable portion of pay. Very few actually get a decent variable pay. HR never clarifies the caveats at the time of interview. New joiners get very less (or zero) variable pay.
    Very less onsite opportunities
Hot-skill bonus amount is dependent on annual performance rating as well as a yearly skill evaluation exercise. So, caution is advised when HR asks you to consider this as your fixed pay during interview.
Forced to contribute to company's other initiatives like conducting interviews, passing certifications, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be clear to employees on what compensation they can expect and the various caveats of hot skill bonus and variable pay.
Pay attention to employee's work-life balance.
Don't force people to sacrifice personal time to conduct interviews without any benefits.

I have been working at Accenture full-time

    Pros

    Great workplace environment
    Great work-life balance
    Fair growth opportunities for freshers
    Less work pressure
Best among the service companies out there

    Cons

Average pay, but better than most service based companies.
More challenging work would have been better.
    No flexible work timings.
Poor IDC management, most of the top-management people in IDC have come from after working with infosys. Their new policies kind of make it feels like you are in a school.
    Less hikes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review your HR policies. Most of them are not employee friendly, stop hiring leadership people from Infosys.
